This signage system was created during my tenure at Burke Plus Design under the direction of sole proprietor and creative director Kevin Burke. Paying close attention to the surrounding area which is the MIT campus in Cambridge, we developed an up scale signage system. Mirroring what was happening in the MIT classrooms we developed a way finding system that feels high tech and contemporary.  Utilizing state of the at materials and fabrication techniques  we were able to nestle this contemporary way finding system amongst some of the areas most historic buildings in a seamless and well though out manner.

The main exterior signage was fully welded aluminum and painted with Matthews industrial exterior architectural paint. The typography was water jet cut and internally illuminated. Push through lettering was utilized and lit using led technology to help keep overall building expenses down. Interior and other way finding signage was created using the same painted and brushed aluminum finishes which help aid in a consistent and cohesive experience.
